Sud-coreeni au învățat să prevină accidentele de la trecerile de pietoni. Pentru că problema ochilor ațintiți în telefon a ajuns să fie globală, autoritățile au amplasat semafoarele la nivelul solului, și nu pe stâlpi, tocmai ca oamenii să le observe indiferent de situație.
