Ten other Romanians die of cold exposure in the past 24h, number of victims raises to 43
Ten other Romanians died of severe hypothermia caused by the freezing temperatures in the past 24 hours, the number of victims killed by the cold exposure between January 20-26 reaching 43, according to the Health Ministry.
Two people were from the county of Iasi, while the rest from Bacau, Bihor, Buzau, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Tulcea and Vrancea.
In Bucharest, the weather will remain cold, with minimum temperatures of -10 degrees Celsius, and snowfalls announced for the first part of the night, according to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM).
Temperatures will stand between -17 and -7 degrees in most of the regions from 8 p.m. this evening until 8 a.m. tomorrow, or even below -20 degrees in eastern Transylvania and Moldavia's northern half.
